Fish and Chips


Ingredients:

  • 1 Dory fish
  • Salt and pepper
Flour mixture (set aside few dry flour ingredients for dusting):
  • 150g all purpose flour
  • 1/2tsp baking powder 
  • 1/2tsp baking soda
  • 125ml COLD soda water (I used beer, pour little by little)
  • 1/2tsp paprika powder
  • 1/2tsp onion powder
  • 1/2tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2tsp salt
Tar-tar sauce (mixing altogether):
  • 3tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/4 lemon zest
  • 1pcs gherkins (small diced cut)
  • 1/4 onions (small diced cut)
  • 1/2pcs eggs (optional)
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of black pepper
To-do:
  1. Flour mixture: mix all the dry ingredients. Set aside few tbsp dry ingredients for dusting the fish before mixing with the wet ingredients.
  2. Add soda water (I used beer) in the dry ingredients.
  3. Coat fish fillet with dry ingredients then wet ingredients.
  4. Fry until golden brown. Serve with tar-tar sauce.
