Steam Ginger Chicken


Ingredients:

For marinating the chicken

  • 750g bite size chicken thigh
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • 1/4tsp chicken powder
  • 1tsp sugar
  • 1tbsp soy sauce
  • 1tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2tsp white pepper
  • 2tbsp corn/tapioca flour
  • Add shaoxing wine
For steam:
  • 8cm thin sliced ginger
For garnish:
  • 4pcs sliced green onions
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • 1/4tsp chicken powder
  • 3tbsp oil
  • 1tsp sesame oil
To-do:
  1. Mix all the ingredients and let it marinate for 30 minutes in the room temperature / overnight in the fridge.
  2. Add sliced ginger on top of the chicken and let it steam for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile prepare the garnish. Add green onions, salt and chicken powder in a small bowl. Heat oil and add into green onions then mix with sesame oil.
  4. When ready, garnish the chicken with the prepared green onions oil.
  5. Ready to eat.
