Salted Cream Cheese Filled Chiffon Cake


Ingredients

Chiffon cake:

  • 3egg yolk
  • 15g sugar
  • 30ml oil
  • 40ml milk
  • 10g cornstarch
  • 45g cake flour
  • 3 egg whites
  • 45g sugar
  • 20g almond flake -> bake at 170C for 3-5 minutes
Salted cream (mixing altogether with hand mixer):
  • 40g cream cheese
  • 45g sugar
  • 2.5g / 1/2tsp sea salt
  • 50ml milk
  • 150ml whipping cream
Baking in oven
140C for 35minutes in 16cm baking pan

To-do:
  1. Using hand mixer, mix egg yolk with sugar and oil.
  2. Then add milk and mix well. Add sieved cornstarch and cake flour and mixing well with hand mixer.
  3. In another mixing bowl, beat egg white with sugar in portion until medium peak.
  4. Mixing egg yolk mixture with egg white mixture and bake at 140C for 35 minutes.
  5. When the chiffon cake is cold, garnish with salted cream and baked almond flake.
