Stewed Pork 控肉




Ingredients:

  • 1kg pork belly (cut to eat size) + brown sugar
  • 2pcs star anis
  • 1pcs cinnamon stick
  • few whole black pepper
  • 3pcs dried red chili
  • 20g rock sugar
  • Green onions
  • Few slices ginger
  • 25ml shaoxing wine 
  • 120ml soy sauce
  • 600ml water
  • Optional: salt
  • Optional: Water boiled egg

To-do:

  1. Stir fry pork belly with brown sugar (no oil needed) until fragrant (brown color)
  2. Dry sauté spices like star anis, cinnamon stick, black pepper and red chili. Then put into stew pocket
  3. Melt rock sugar and add a little bit of water for better mixing
  4. Put in pork belly, spices and rock sugar into pressure cooker
  5. Add green onions and ginger
  6. Add shaoxing wine, soy sauce and water
  7. Add water boiled egg 
  8. Pressure cook for 30mins and check the taste and texture
  9. Ready to eat
