Ingredients:
- 500g beef shank / sengkel kembang (quick soaking in boiling water)
- Butter
- 400g chopped onion (small cubes and big cut)
- 2 cloves garlic puree
- 1/2tbsp paprika powder
- 1tsp cumin seed
- 1/2tsp marjoram
- 2pcs dried bay leaves
- 1tbsp tomato paste
- 1tbsp vinegar
- 2tbsp red wine
- 500ml water + beef powder / 500ml beef stock
- 1/4tbsp salt
- Black pepper
To-do:
- Quick fry with oil in high heat. Then take the beef out.
- Using the same pan, add butter and fry onions until brown color. Then add garlic puree. Mix well
- Add all the spices, includes paprika powder, cumin seed, marjoram, bay leaves. Stir for 2 minutes
- Add tomato puree, sauté for 2 minutes
- Add vinegar, redwine and half of the water/beef stock and cook in medium high heat until boiling.
- Add salt, pepper, beef and rest of the water/beef stock.
- Slow cook for 4 hours in slow cooker then cook again until the sauce become thicken.
