Taiwan Crispy Chicken 鹹酥雞

Ingredients:

Part 1 for marinating

  • 1/2kg chicken breast, cut in dice
  • 4pcs garlic and make it become paste texture
  • 1tbsp soy sauce
  • 1tsp white pepper
  • 1/2tsp salt
Part 2 for flour paste
  • 4tbsp sweet potato flour
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1/2tsp ngohiong/five spice powder
  • 1/2tsp baking powder
Part 3 for sprinkle on the chicken
  • 1tbsp white pepper
  • 1/2tsp ngohiong/five spice powder
  • 1/4tsp salt
Optional: fried basil and tofu to eat along with the fried chicken 


To-do:
  1. Mix well all part 1 ingredients and let it marinate overnight.
  2. For flour paste, mix all part 2 ingredients. Dip marinated chicken to the flour paste and let it be for around 5mins before frying.
  3. Fry until golden brown.
  4. Mix all part 3 ingredients and sprinkle on the fried chicken.
  5. And it's ready to serve. Guten Appetit!
