Ingredients:
- 500-600g pork belly (square cutted)
- 1pcs green onions (long cutted)
- 5 thin sliced ginger
- 6pcs whole garlic
- 2tbsp rock sugar 冰糖
- 3tbsp soy sauce
- 5tbsp shaoxing wine
- 300ml water
- 2pcs star anise
- A little five spice powder / ngohiong
- A little white pepper
To-do:
- Add oil on the pan and stir fry green onions, ginger and garlic until fragrant.
- Add pork belly on the side and only flip when it's already golden brown (2 sides).
- Add rock sugar and turn into low heat for melting sugar.
- When the sugar start melting, stir fry and mix well with the pork.
- Add soy sauce and stir fry for 1 min to let the pork colorize.
- Then add shaoxing wine, water, star anise, ngohiong a white pepper, turn into high heat and let it cook for 1 min.
- Then turn into low heat and let it cook for 45 mins with lid covered. The sauce become very thick and golden brown :)
