Sweet Potato Doughnut / Donut Ubi (without yeast)



INGREDIENTS:

  • 500g sweet potato (boiled/steamed)
  • 40g sugar
  • 80g all purporse flour
  • 16g tapioca starch
  • 1/2tsp salt
  • a bit butter
To-do:
  1. Mash the boiled/steam sweet potato while hot
  2. Mix all ingredients
  3. Make into doughnut shape
  4. Heat up oil in saucepan and fry doughnut on medium low heat
  5. Flip doughnut every now and then to cook it evenly
  6. Doughnut are ready when they floats and golden in color
  7. Coating with refined sugar


Healthier options:
Fry with air fryer, just coat the doughnut with some oil and fry in the air fryer 180 degrees for 10-15mins.
Then coat with sugar water mixture, 70g sugar + 35ml water
